BS/MD Program
The Marshall University BS/MD program allows high-performing students to complete the requirements for both the Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degree programs in seven, instead of the traditional eight years. The first cohort of students included 13 students. The entire class entered medical school in August 2018 and is set to graduate with their MD degrees in May 2022.
Students selected through a competitive process not only earns guaranteed acceptance into medical school upon successful completion of program requirements, but they also receive a tuition waiver for the medical school portion of the program.
High school students must apply by December 1 of the year prior to their college enrollment.
