We Are ... Advancing Rural Health in West Virginia

Isolation is one of the biggest barriers we have to effective practice in rural areas and fulfillment for rural providers. With modern technology and the resources of a medical school, university and comprehensive health system, the Robert C. Byrd Center for Rural Health at Marshall University works to minimize the effects of isolation on rural providers and share resources with all rural communities in West Virginia so that our citizens can continue to receive the best health care possible.

Our Mission

To reduce or eliminate that isolation so that rural providers continue to practice in rural areas and rural people have better access to health care.

Our Partners

It takes a village to advance opportunities for health care in rural communities. Thank you to the following sponsors/partners for being on this journey with us.
